The Foundation has five core programmes: Culture, Education, Health & Environment, Microfinance and Research. Specific priorities have been identified for each programme.

What is the geographic scope of your activities-programmes?
By and large, our activities and programmes have an international and transnational focus. We foster national, international and transnational collaboration by providing valuable contacts, information and opportunities to spread innovation and build long-term sustainability.

What kind of ideas does Spanda look for?
We look for ideas and innovative solutions that will create national, regional or global systemic change, high impact and broad replicable applications.

What types of organizations do you relate with?
The vast majority of our attention, but non exclusively, goes to non-profit organizations and tax-exempt institutions, such as US 501(c)(3) status, or the equivalent in other countries.

What is the best way to make initial contact with the Foundation?
We encourage organizations looking to partner with the Foundation to review our programme information in detail.
In most cases we prefer organizations to submit a letter of inquiry rather than a full proposal. The letter of inquiry should state explicitly the reasons why Spanda should be interested in partner with you; contain a brief description of the purpose and objective of the project with general methodology and total costs.

What does Spanda mean?
