The Abraham’s Legacy documentary English-language series consists of monographic issues each touching upon a different topic along the human life cycle, as seen and conceived by different faiths. The documentary, of approximately forty-five minutes in length, will include visual inserts consistent with the topic and feature music corresponding to the respective traditions. Guest representatives of the individual faiths will expound on the same heritage theme in a dialogue easily understandable and assimilable by all audiences, including those without specific education. This allows an all-embracing coverage and understanding of the same topic from three different perspectives throughout the programme-event, bringing to light the differences and similarities between the cultures in a dialectical manner. It broadens comprehension and insight into each others reality while enhancing tolerance through awareness of our common humanity, with reciprocal respectful attention for equity and diversity: the cornerstone for a sustainable peace process and world unity. This will contribute to people thinking critically and creatively with more intercultural awareness.
Befittingly subtitled, the series will be available for any further language version as an educative DVD series. It will comply with the UNESCO Education for Sustainable Development Programme (ESD) designed to build our capacity for facing today’s major challenges and, realized in partnership with Semar Publishers, will be accompanied by an illustrated and didactically oriented manual, circulated to different countries and distributed to educational institutions and the like to be used both by the general public and especially in the classroom.
